Paying an ACT Supreme Court fine

Where do I pay my court imposed fine?

You must pay your fine directly to the court. Court fines cannot be paid at any other agency.


How do I pay my fine?

  • Debit/Credit Card
  • Payments can be taken by phone Monday to Friday between 9.00am and 4.15pm.

    Do not send card details by email.

  • Direct Debit Payment Arrangement
  • Complete the direct debit application form. Direct debit request form

    A bank statement or letter from your bank is required to accompany your application.

    The statement must show the account name, account number, and BSB number.

    If the account is not in your name, the account holder/s or joint account holder needs to provide a letter of authority and a copy of a bank statement for the nominated account showing the account holder/joint account holder’s name, BSB and Account numbers.


Extension of time to pay your fine

An extension of time to pay may be granted without a direct debit, if there are extenuating circumstances where you are unable to enter a direct debit for any reason. Email your request stating your name, charge number, reason for request and any supporting documents to the Fine Management Unit. If you are claiming financial hardship, complete a Statement of Fine Defaulter’s Financial Position form and attach to your request. A copy of the form may be obtained online at https://www.legislation.act.gov.au/af/2006-297/
